Nina Bilbey and The Abraxas Academy win national memorial commission

Congratulations to Nina Bilbey and The Abraxas Academy, who have been selected to produce the national memorial to commemorate LGBTQ+ veterans who suffered discrimination under the historic military 'gay ban'. The ban was repealed 25 years ago and the Etherton Report (which was the catalyst for change) specified that there should be a national memorial for veterans who were affected, housed in the National Arboretum in Staffordshire. This is the UK's first Gay memorial.
