Sue Binns

Sue is fascinated by the way stripes create different visual impressions, positive or negative, depending on their thickness and density and how the effect of the matt glaze can also give a blurred edge to the outline and occasionally pull the stripe down into various patterns.  Her inspiration comes from Mediterranean pottery, Japanese fabrics and ceramics, but mainly from 1950s Rye Pottery which was around in her home when she was growing up.
